Anastasia State Recreation Area
The Anastasia State Park and Recreation Area opened in 1949 and today is one of Florida’s busiest state parks. Located 1.5 miles from historic downtown St. Augustine, Anastasia State Park features coastal camping, fishing, sun bathing, surfing, sail boarding, swimming, nature walking trails, and picnicking areas. Guana River State Park
Guana River State Park is a 2,400 acre coastal park, located on a barrier island that is located in the middle between St. Augustine and Jacksonville. Bounded by the Intracoastal waterway and the Atlantic Ocean, the state park features many endangered species and unique wildlife to the wetlands, marshes and tidal creeks. Hiking and biking are usually popular activities in the park, as well as just sight seeing. You can see porpoises, manatees, sea turtles, and other marine wildlife. Fishing and crabbing are also allowed.

St. Augustine Alligator Farm & Bird Sanctuary
Located on Anastasia Island less than a mile from the state park, you can stop and see Egrets, wood storks, tri-colored herons that all nest near or above the gator ponds at the alligator farm. Breeding usually peaks April through July, take a tour through the walkways and be sure to bring a camera! Spring is a great time to be in St. Augustine.

The Lightner Museum
A treasure from the Flagler Era of the Oldest Ciy and just around the corner from your Bed and Breakfast, in St. Augustine, FL. The St. Augustine Lighthouse and Museum
The historic lighthouse stands 165 feet above sea level, and continues today to be a working lighthouse. Open to visitors, and handicap accessible, the lighthouse also features a museum with exhibits and archives of the old lighthouse. A sprial staircaise of 219 steps takes you to a romantic panoramic view of St. Augustine and the beaches. Light of the Moon and Sunset/Moonrise tours are also quite popular.
